In order to create a new user in a DaDaBIK application, administrators need to do it manually, assigning a password.

This feature would allow users to register by themselves, choosing their password and recover it in case of lost.

Development completed, we are in testing phase already. This new feature will be available soon with DaDaBIK 11.1

This is one of the most obvious "missing" functions so delighted you are working on it. Once a new user has registered can we set initial permissions? Perhaps a default "new user" group?? Can it generate an email to the administrator to advise them.

The idea is to add an (optional) "register" link to the login page, which opens a form new users can fill to register. A "forgotten password" link will also be available.

Suggestions are welcome!

I would support user administration being a property which can be assigned to a user group. I want several people to be able to control the addition of users to the database, but don't want to grant them the full admin rights where the app could be tinkered with. I have a public user for browsing, so named users are only required for editing and that must be controlled.

Password recovery would certainly be handy, though.
